Sightliness

2015

Sightliness explores the access to an unobstructed view of our transparent lives, one which has become the mandatory modus operandi in today’s world obsessed with fear and (false) security. It points to something that usually goes unnoticed: the sightly presentation of our everyday belongings on security inspection screens. Here, personal objects carried around in the intimate interiors of containers, bags, purses, and backpacks reveal the complex aesthetics of the private and the cherished, offering clues to our individual identities.
