Case

2015-2017

Project Case explores the access to an unobstructed view of our transparent lives, one which has become the mandatory modus operandi in today’s world obsessed with fear and (false) security. It points to something that usually goes unnoticed: the sightly presentation of our everyday belongings on security inspection screens. Here, personal objects and even musical instruments carried around in the intimate interiors of cases, bags, purses, and backpacks reveal the complex aesthetics of the private and the cherished, offering clues to our individual identities. Our fear of revealing the hidden is rewarded with the beauty in the revelation.
